Cloak and Dagger help with game play please. Where is transport???

Hello all.
Well, I have finally rewired my Cloak and Dagger with a Jamma Adapter.
Now it will be much more reliable.
Man it feels great to play this game again. Definetely my favorite of
all the coin ops arcades. Then it would be Ghosts and Goblins.
Anyways, I was hoping someone could help me out with a problem I'm
having while playing the game.

When I get all the way to the bottom, (level 33) and take the secret
plans, and then proceed back up, there is supposed to be some place
hidden (in the brown rock areas I think?) where there is a secret
transport portal to bring me back down the elevators quicker?

While playing the game on some level it says find the secret transport/
portal to skip levels.
Does anyone know where this is?
I have made it all the way up to the top and down to about level 22,
but then when I die, I have to start all the way back at level 29 and
go back up to 33 to get the plans all over again and start back down
again..

Very frustrating....... but fun.

What a great game.... :)
