I just had a monitor that was blowing the fuse close to the AC input
every time you powered it up. I had it serviced and I watched as it
was being repaired. It turned out to be one of the diodes on the
bridge rectifier was bad. The service guy said it was probably a
surge that took it out. He replaced it and the monitor came right
up.
