No chance. Picture window on wall one, fireplace/built ins on wall 2, short
wall 3 due to entry way, wall four is the ONLY option :-) I'm using 5 focal
speakers hardwired into one of the built ins where I'll stash the receiver.
Cable and network will also come in there and I want to route connections to
the TV...HDMI should be all I need, but ya never know.

If your not looking for super high-end, I'd suggest wireless
speakers. Because you just know that right after you set the room up,
the wife will want the TV on a different wall...

I have the chance to setup my living room for surround sound and while I
do
understand the basics, I wanted to ask if anyone here has any
suggestions.
Besides running your basic speaker wire from the receiver position to the
various locations in the room, what would you recommend for the
connection
between the receiver and the TV? TV will be a flat panel LCD. I was
thinking HDMI would be the only thing required, but should I run standard
RCA cables as well, just in case? S-video? The walls will be closed up
1st
week in April, so now is the time.
