I just completed a Defender cocktail restore, but the game doesn't run
- I guess that means it's not quite complete. I purchased a known
good boardset and wiring harness from one person, and known working
13" GO7 monitor from someone else. I just finished getting the
cabinet back together and wired up with a switching power supply
because that is what was running these boards prior to my buying them
- and I had one lying around.

When I power the game on all I get is a monitor full of yellow
horizontal lines. No sound, no rug pattern. The ROM board has 4
solid LED's, and even though I'm using a switcher the power board has
3 solid LED's. If I press the switch on the sound board I get a
continuous start up sound but no other changes. When I press the
reset switch on the CPU board the monitor blinks like it's doing a
reset, but it goes back to the same yellow lines.

I'm still fairly new at this, and this is my first Williams game.
I've downloaded some of the Defender manuals, but still can't figure
out where to test voltages on the boards. I did test at the wiring
harness side of the connector to the CPU board and am getting the
correct voltage there, although I know that doesn't mean the board is
getting it.

I'm hopefull that It's just some small wiring issue that's preventing
this thing from booting up, as I didn't find much usefull info with a
search for 'no rug pattern'.
