I call BS on that one... where's my multimeter... I don't believe that
the resistance across the body is under 100 ohms.

On a really old-style analog multimeter the meter elements are far too
sensitive to take currents that high. Have you ever used a multimeter
that sparks when you click the leads together?

IIRC, digital multimeters apply a small current and measure the voltage
via a DAC, using different current levels for different ranges.
