John, I happen to have schematics for _Gun Fight_ and my copy is a little
easier to read. The papyrus hasn't disintegrated yet. :)
I've offered a few corrections below:
12-Pin Connector
1 Not Used
2 +5VDC
3 Ground
4 Coin Counter
5 Right Speaker
6 Ground
7 Right Speaker
8 KEY
9 Left Speaker
10 Left Speaker
11 16.5VAC (try to use 12VDC)
12 16.5VAC (try to use 12VDC)
To eliminate confusion, I think we should specify the following:
Pin 5: Right Speaker +
Pin 7: Right Speaker -
Pin 9: Left Speaker -
Pin 10: Left Speaker +
18-Pin Connector
1 Start?
2 Coin?
3 Left-player Trigger
4 Right-player Trigger
5 Right-player Right
6 Left-player Right
7 Left-player Gun(3) (full)
8 Right-player Gun(3) (full)
9 Right-player Left
10 Left-player Left
11 Left-player Gun(2) (down)
12 Right-player Gun(2) (down)
13 Right-player Up
14 Left-player Up
15 Left-player Gun(1) (up)
16 Right-player Gun(1) (up)
17 Left-player Down
18 Right-player Down
Note: Coin and Start may be swapped; could not read
pin numbers on schematics.
You were right to begin with, John. Pin 1 is indeed the START button.
Pin 2 is indeed the Coin switch.
