Since both boards are resetting at the exact same place I'd say your row 6
EPROM is bad. Have you checked them against the file you downloaded?

OK,I had 2 working Pac boards that I converted to run the Ms Pac/Pac hack
using a 27512 @6J
and a 27128 @5F and using the cabinet test switch to go between the two
games.They both boot
up and run to the exact same spot in the program then reset. On Ms.Pac it
goes through the character
intro screen and resets on the maze screen just as Ms Pac starts the
downward turn.On Pac they
reset on the character intro screen when Pac makes it almost halfway to
the power pellet.I downloaded
the software off of the Marvin 3M site and followed his directions to a
tee.I've triple checked my work
and all seems ok but it has to be something with the hack as these boards
worked perfectly before.Only
thing I did different was to cut the traces at the eprom sockets instead
of bending out pins to solder
to on the 28 pin sockets.Only thing I saw that I needed to add was a
jumper to reconnect the trace
on pin 20(18 on original socket)bypassing the pin only at 6J.Did I miss
something?I e-mailed Kev about it and he recommended I try a faster eprom
but that had no affect, and I hate to keep pestering him via e-mail as he
is probably very busy.Bad software maybe?Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Dave
