The machine has the factory supply therefore no adjustment pot.

Larry, if in fact that extra wire is from the power supply and is one of the
many +5 wires it wouldn't hurt anything to add it to the kits board.
Backtrack the thing and make sure its coming from the same place that the
rest of the +5 wires are coming from before you hook it up though. Another
thing that couldn't hurt would be to add your own GND wire from the power
supply to the kits power connection.

If that fails, install a switcher into the cab. Those factory WMS power
supplies sucked from day one.
