I just had a similar issue. No -5 at the board. This game was a keeper so
I didn't care about the guts. I just popped in a switching power supply and
yanked the malfunctioning ARII board. The sound was still loud enough so
that it didn't need amplification and it works great. My board was fine
even though the -5 died off.
