Date of Event: June 28, 2009
Location of Event: Old Manila Coffee House Robinson’s Galleria, Pasig
City
# of players: 4
Winning Player: Francisco De Jesus (Tammy)
Winning Clan: Nosferatu (Gangrel)
Key Minion: Sergei Voshkov, the Eye
Imperator Nominee: Karsh
We scheduled the tourney with several preconfirmed methuselahs vowing
their appearance, in the end due to unfortunate circumstances only 4
were able to come to the storyline event. With one backing out due to
illness, several due to work and one due to family obligations. Not
wanting to have this day wasted, we decided to push through with the
event. Imperator decks were used as prelisted. The 4 players were
Francisco (Tammy) playing Nosferatu bleed/stealth deck using dominate
with Sergei, Alonso Petrodon, and Gustaphe. Paul, Prince of San Juan
with also Nosferatu with a deck using mixed raven spy and murder of
crows for defense/intercept and some stealth/political. Haig Bobbis,
waas using a Ventrue group 2/3 potence with Lucinde, Earl, Hrothhulf,
and Nakova using heroic might and preternatural strength. Lastly but
certainly not least Vincent Paul Layaoen was using a Toreador with
Minor Nossie bleed/obfuscate deck using Toby, Vidal Jabreaux and
Rafael de Corazon that allowed some anarch tricks into the deck.
The first round had Francisco (Tammy) starting first, followed by
Vincent, Paul then Haig. Vidal Jabreaux was turned anarch with Toby
out forcing some heavy bleeds on Paul during the fifth round. Tammy
was doing small bleeds with stealth while Haig placed an early Fame on
Sergei. Paul had brought out two Nossie Baron Diedonne and Federico
de Padua with the latter with atwo murder of crows one of which had
been affected by a tainted spring and bow of convergence, Baron with a
raven spy. In the end Tammy successfully bled out Vincent and Paul
before losing to the rush of Haig’s Ventrue which included Lucinde,
Earl, Hrothhulf, Nakova and a graverobbed Titus Camille from Tammy.
Results:
Tammy 2 VP, 0 TW
Haig 2VP, 0 TW
Paul 0
Vincent 0
The second round had Vincent playing first followed by Haig, Paul then
lastly Tammy. Early bleeds whittled Haig’s pool by 5 around round six
or sveen prompting an early political stranglehold by Paul to buffer
him. Tammy had Sergei out again and was bringing out Gustaphe.
Vincent had Toby Rafael Corazon and Vidal Jabreaux out once again.
But the delay allowed Haig to beef up with preternatural strength/
freak drive/ heroic might freak drive with Lucinde and was proceeding
to crush Vincent’s defenses. Paul contested Gustaphe hoping a four
minion advantage with Benjamin Rose, embrace, Impundulu and a Zelios
would allow him to oust Tammy unfortunately several continual bleeds
by Hrothhulf and Lucinde with conditioning destroyed what pool reserve
Paul had forcing to relinquish the contest with Tammy over Gustaphe.
Vincent was pusted soon after, Tammy was down to six pool and Paul had
an Imperator over Zelios and called for Kine Resouces Contested but
couldn’t hit Haig, as he had one pool left at this point so Paul had
to assign one point to himself. Already down to four pool it was a
gamble as he had an embrace and a Zelios with Tasha Moragn still and
had a Cloak the Gathering at hand and Tammy’s minion was tapped out.
The bleed was successful for the Embrace but the last bleed by Zelios
was deflected with a wake with evening’s freshness and deflection by
Gustaphe. Haig manged to block the minion but was left vulnerable to
Tammy’s bleed with Gustaphe. Tammy was able incflunec Alonso Petrodon
with additional pool and soon sealed the table sweep with stealth
Govern as Paul was down to three pool.
Results:
Tammy 4VP’s 1 TW
Haig: 0
Paul:0
Vincent:0
Final Tally:
Tammy (winner) 6VP 1 TW
Haig: 2 Vp
Paul: 0
Vincent:0
