Just for fun, I've rated the rares based on how much I want to get
them... 1 = wish it were a new common instead of this crappy rare, 3
= I could definitely use more, 5 = Heart of Cheating. Not a real
point here, but just an experiment to see how happy I will be with the
new set before I can actually get my hands on it.
It seems like you're awfully generous with those 3s and 4s. I'll my
scoring to your list.
1 = no, please god, no 2 = meh 3 = yeah, ok 4 = good choice
5 = I'll be tickled every time I open up a pack with one of these

My first impression is that fewer poor reprint choices were made in
KoT than in the last few base sets. But, seriously, Chain of
Command??? ALso, Fortitude looks even more neutered in this set than
it did in 3E. If Armor of Vitality and Indomitability are the only
two Fortitude damage prevention cards, then Armor was a terrible
choice. The R+S should have been just S, in my opinion, and the R+U
should be just U.
Many of my own hoped-for reprints did not show up, but in terms of
addressing cards that are scarce or exhorbitant on the singles market
they did pretty well, Charisma, Unmasking and Jake Washington, plus
Magazine, Mirror Walk, the two Hearts and The Embrace. Making Sniper
Rifle uncommon was a good call. Although Gambit Accepted and
Momentum's Edge are not very exciting (and not hard to find), putting
both of them in a base set has some merit. Some of the choices I'd
otherwise think were sketchy, like Veneficorum or Wendel D, I'm ok
with because it's the first time they appear in the new layout. The
absence of Murder of Crows (and, to a lesser extent, Wolf Companion
and Raptor) is striking, especially with the introduction of Tainted
Spring.
