Re: Aleyea climbs Jakob's Ladder

And as for doing it is Jakob early on, okay I discard the 7 cards that
I chose not to play that I was dealt because obviously they weren't
right for me to play. Boy, I wish I could get rid of these cards....

Right, cause you've dumped 20% crap into your deck and *hate* the cards
in your hand half the time. I usually add 10-20 cards i don't intend to
play to all of my decks because they're just too efficient otherwise.

Well....yeah, didn't you read the decklist. Making me discard my hand
at the beginning of the game is like painting asphault black. No
noticable difference.

Like this scenario...

<Seen sitting at a table is Jakob-Playing Sucker who Doesn't know
what's good for him >

Jakob-Playing Sucker who Doesn't know what's good for him: "Wow I just
got dealt 7 cards. Hmm, I like this master card. So I'll play that.
And, I like this minion card so I play that. These other 5 cards are
not as good as the ones I just played so. I guess they will remain in
my hand."

<Enter Predator>

Predator: "I discard this fantastic master card that I planned on
playing to enhance my game on the off-chance that you might get
screwed. Mwhahaha! Now Discard Your Hand!"

<card are discarded. Predator stands on the top of his chair, thumps
his chest>

Predator: "I have ruined your game!"

<Jakob-Playing Sucker, who Doesn't know what's good for him, draws
seven more equally random cards as the one he was dealt"

Jakob-Playing Sucker, who Doesn't know what's good for him: "Well, I
guess I'll play the best ones out of the cards I was just dealt, which
by the way happens to be what my game plan was anyway. Ya know cuz all
the cards you draw are random."

Predator: "What do you mean? I thought I ruined your game. Doesn't
discarding 7 cards at the beginning of the game ruin your game"

Jakob-Playing Sucker, who Doesn't know what's good for him: "Well, not
really, it's just like getting dealt your opening hand"

Again with the idealism.

Well, it is catchy. :)

Melodrama aside, there's some cool head-games you can play while Jacob
is in your ready region.

Only if you buy into head games, I prefer to use my head as a hat rack
or a punching bag.

I don't buy into the "6-8 Blood Doll in every
deck" mentality, so i'm not going to buy into the fact that it is
automatically a better play to *not* discard it to damage to my prey's
resources when i don't have a minion to do so for me.

But how much damage are we really talking about? It's certainly not
punching a gigantic whole in the earth crust, releasing hot firey magma
to boil humanity. It's more like too much cayenne pepper on your
boiled crawfish. Sure, it's unpleasant, but with a little beer to wash
it down, it still tastes pretty good.

But, discarding a master card, instead of playing it, seems to me to be
more like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
