If a player was to put numbers, from 1-90, on the play side of his
cards, inside the sleeve, which he would use to "reset" his deck,
before shuffling, would that qualify as marking cards or stacking his
deck?
So long as the sleeves are identical and the nature of the cards cannot
be discerned except by looking at their faces, sure.
While legal themselves, the numbers would indicate a high likelyhood of
a breach of the randomization rules, as others have noted, though.
See, what started this: Person in question would stack their deck
making sure that there is an even spread of masters, combat cards,
etc... Then shuffle the deck, quite wekll if i may add, even offerring
to let anyone else shuffle if they felt like it. Eventually he said
that seeing as each time he has to figure out in his head what order
they need to be put in before they are shuffled top ensure an even
spread of card types, he would just number the little blighters and
have done with. so as the shuffling is being done properly, i cannot
see a break with the rules here myself. howeever, as others have
objected, i thought i wisest to get a ruling. thanks anyway. still
confused as to whether this is legal though
.
