Oh, you weren't, like, wildly off topic. You were just making (arguably
insulting) statements that were mostly irrelevant. And not actually
addressing the point at hand, while adressing something that wasn't actually under discussion.

Well, on a general principle, I have to say that that is what threaded discussions are for. You can always note a tangential point, because it does not, by definition of the medium, interfere with the main discussion, but rather creates a new sub-thread.

Well, you wrote something like (sorry if it's not quoted properly, or
out of context): "...As I mentioned before, I have two Nergal decks,
as I bought two support packs. I don't need two for the tournament. I
was likely going to just keep the extra one. I wasn't planning on
selling it, but if I thought I could get $200.00 for it (which I don't
think is actually the case, really) , I probably would sell it. Would
that be unethical? Is it really that different than buying a support
pack just to sell it? Is it really that different than winning the
deck and then selling it?"

But then again, I might be completely off-track here.

No, no, I did write that. But if you were actually paying attention to the
discussion, you would have realized that the discussion was not about how I
wanted to sell a support deck, or how I wanted to defend the selling of
support decks. The discussion was about people wanting to witch hunt folks
selling support materials, how it might seem reasonable to sell a deck that
one had acquired by any of a number of different means, and whether it was
relevant where support materials came from after they end up on e-bay.

The discussion was not about "Yaa! I can sell my Nergal deck for $200.00!", which is what you responded to.

Not really, no. I guess it was you who was misunderstanding then.

What I replied to was more along the lines of, "okay, so what's wrong
with selling the deck anyway, it's not like it's a crime or something,
and if it can go for 200 bucks, then why not sell it?"
