am asked if I want to overwrite the previous save file. Where is this
save file located? I'd like to be able to save several backup files,
so that if I go down a wrong path, I can back up more than one step.
To be clear; backing up _even one step_ is cheating. It is also not how to
learn or enjoy the game; the game's difficulty is balanced for permanent
death, and the random nature of the initial setup means that repeated
play of the opening game is not an exercise in tedium.
IIRC, that message only comes up on explore mode. Normal mode deletes
the savefile when you start the game up again.
