Have you ever finished a ten-conduct game, Jorge? I couldn't find
one in RGRN (though that pickaxe game essentially counts).
Did you ever make much more progress on your plans for 11? They
sounded pretty compelling...
Well, yes and no. I got into this big old discusion after my last
failed 11 conduct game and realized that 12 was possible, (but hard
as hell.) I then started playing on NAO going for the 12 about 2
years ago i think and finally burned out. The farthest i got (and i
am a bit fuzzy here) was clearing the mines and sokobon. I then tried
to poly self to get rid of hunger with a ring of poly and poly
control and ended up starving to death. I then killed about 40-200
characters which didn't last long even if they did get a ring of sd
from kicking a sink and gave up playing nethack forever.
After i ascend or kill of my current arch i will go back and try
again. Anybody want to take bets on how many games i try before i
quit forever again?
It'll be interesting to see either way (what's your NAO username?)
but I would suspect that going for 11 might be more likely to succeed
than going for all 12. Then again, you might be more motivated going
for the Ultimate Challenge. :)
