Not only has Derek Ray created a fully-fledged
non-buggy NetHack variant and a functional server
to play it on, but he also:
--Constantly updates and tweaks the game to make
it "more challenging"
--Responds intelligently to all criticisms, bug
reports, and proposals from this newsgroup
--Hangs out in IRC #sporkhack, watches games, and
basically listens to people
So this thread is where we give him a well-deserved
pat on the back for being an amazing, responsive
maintainer.
Thank you, Derek.
Certainly more feedback from anyone I've seen outside of comp.unix.* and
that's saying a *lot*. Very responsive is an understatement indeed.
