Really? Isn't trying from +3 the highest odds of getting to +5?

danger of not having MR/reflection and the odds of getting the wish.

Excellent point. I'd take the .00tiny% chance of a major demon now over
the much larger chance of a touch of death on DL20.

Yes, absolutely. But pointing out the %tiny chance may be worthwile to
dissuade people from #dipping for wishes when they've already got MR
(and PR, reflection, etc) and are going for low-priority wishes but
aren't equipped to deal with a big nasty & showing up.

Also perhaps worth explaining what a Castle dive is and when it makes
sense (not the full-out early reckless "Dive for Victory", but the
controlled dive for a character who's explored everything above DL8 and
is reasonably tough and yet lacks crucial items, where proceeding to
the Castle with all deliberate haste may be the best percentage play).

Agreed. Attacking the Castle (hopefully with a "trick" like rubber
chicken or conflict or music or pet archon) is a much better way to
assemble the AK than slogging through every monster on DL15-25.

Though the possibilities of:
1. Titan medusa
2. Minotaurs at or above the castle
3. Purple L at the castle



need to be pointed out and discussed.
