Re: What the BLOODY GODDAMN HELL do I have to do to BEAT this game?!

Nobody could be playing as long as I have and still die so early. This
is impossible! What is the problem with me? Am I so stupid I'm
incabable of learning? I HATE this bloody game!

Hmm...I'm curious, what classes do you play? I once thought as you do
(basically, for a couple of years, I couldn't get past minetown, let
alone quest), since I was playing Wizard, for which I don't think I
have the patience. Then I discovered that playing a Valkyrie was not
only much easier (when one gets decent Strength and Constitution
rolls), but also, IMHO, somewhat more fun--maybe that's just my thrill
of carnage and lack of patience, craft or subtlety.

Anyhow, maybe if you're dying so much, you need to come at it from a
different angle. Play a strong class, focus on getting your AC down
early on, and take your time. And, of course, there's no honor in
running away. Does SLASH'EM have the e-word? that might help immensely.
