5 Runes with a Merfolk Crusader. All in all it was easy going. I wasn't
to lucky with artifacts but had lots of luck with Okawaru. The amulet of
Faith together with an early altar gave me powerful weapons early in the
game.
I hear Okawaru is the most popular god for crusaders, over at CAO;
personally, though, I never seem to invoke his abilities often enough
to feel like he's "worth it". Glad to hear he worked out so well for
you though!

At what point did you swap Okawaru for TSO? What motivated the
switch? To be honest, my knowledge of TSO's gifts/abilities/whatever
is sparse - I only ever worship him when I play paladins, and I do
that fairly rarely.

Nice spell selection! This seems like the perfect spell setup for a
Mf Crusader.
I've never used Condensation Shield or Extension though - is the
former sorta like Oz's armor? And does the latter increase the
duration of other enchantments? (yeah, I could go look it up on the
Crawl wiki, I suppose, but while I've got you here answering
questions...)
