Depends on what you are using them for though. Yes, if you're just
using an IDE as a glorified text editor, and *nothing else*, you might
as well just use the command line. But for much programming, IDEs are
the correct and indeed, sanest choice.

I did my time using the command line, and moved to IDEs years ago, and
I wouldn't go back for any price, personally.
