What I actually tried was unpacking the ZIP archive to a separate
directory, then try moving the files to their correct location on my
system with a complete audit trail.
This did not work: kayac was built to require a DLL that wasn't
shipped in the archive. No doubt the DLL would have been there if I
used the standard *.EXE installers for MingW32 and MSYS, but both
are broken when trying to clean-install on Win95. (I maintain
comparable installs on all of Win95, Win2000, and Vista; if one
updates, all must update the same way.)
I have no idea if kayac would work on Win95 at all. The only Windows
OS I have development access to is XP. Which DLL, incidentally?
