Re: Umbrarum Regnum

for me. But why do you condemn so much the fact that I gave it a shot?

Krice is odious to everyone, don't take it personally.

Oh. In that case I won't give it much importance :).

I'm getting the picture of what Ray Dillinger was trying to explain
now :). Yes, I should be able to sum it up in a few phrases, the
problem is I looked at it from a different point of view: the supposed
originality of the game (right now I even start to suspect that it
won't be as original as I had imagined, but let's leave that) lies in
the interesting features, not in the concept itself, since absolutely
ALL roguelikes are similar in that they're hack'n'slash, dungeon-
wandering cRPGs. I never really gave much importance to the "ambient"
differences (after all, who cares if halflings are called hobbits or
hurthlings?) and didn't quite think about concentrating more on
gameplay than features (which, I admit, was an error).

And no, I don't believe I'm a gamewriting genius :). But hey, you got
to always look on the bright side of life (whistle...): at least I
learned something from this conversation and that's good :).
