I am pleased to announce the release of the seven day roguelike (7DRL)
entitled "SewerJacks: 7DRL" version 0.7. Finally uploaded!

I felt like I was going to win. My character had just managed to take
on 2 ghouls, 2 gutter runners, and a skaven at once, by himself. Only
losing 6 hit points. And then the game crashed on me. I was level 9,
str 5, move 7, armor 10, hp 16 with block, frenzy, and mighty blow.
Grrr.

Kick ass character. Level 9, wow, I havent got that much exp yet. You
must of cleaned out every level. Did the crash happen during combat.
Maybe, the crash you described below, happened for a ally.

Still, I'm extremely impressed. The system works. I can hardly
believe you pulled this off as a 7DRL!
You have not seen my code yet :)

Not only did you get the
system working great, you got a lot of skills in, secret characters,
lots of weapons, and several star players. The first time I saw a
goblin fanatic on level 3, I about freaked.

That's the reaction I wanted to hear. Yep, I had to have fanatics and
loonies, goblins sure are fun.

The darts were a great
touch. And the balance is very good. Still, I think it helps more
than a little to know blood bowl. Knowing the advantages of cornering
somebody, plus how to do it is huge. And knowing the combat odds and
the advantage to being the attacker helps too.

Blood bowl knowledge helps a lot, knowing who you should be able to
take on makes the game easier, but hopefully its not essential. This
was the biggest problem for me, I still dont know how to overcome it.
As most people play RL games with out reading any manual.

I hit one crash that I can explain. Sometimes there are gaps in the
outer wall. You can't go there, but sometimes the enemies can.
Perhaps only if you push them. Then if combat happens, it can crash.

Damn, I was lazy with this one and did not think it would be a
problem. Its first on my fix list.

But I can't explain the crash that took out my best character. I was
just moving around on a fairly new level and didn't even have any
enemies in sight.
That sucks, the game has not crashed for me yet. Probably a out of
range cell reference again.

Oh, another thing I learned the hard way was that
you can lose allies trying to bring more than one down stairs. I had
a panicky human warrior and the fully healed Dwarven Deathroller.
Guess which one made it to the next level and guess which one
vanished.

Actually Deathrollers cant fit down stairs as they are a tad bit
powerful. Hmm, that now sounds stupid now as how did they get there in
the first place? :P You are lucky if you get on on your last level
though. I have to fix the panic code aswell, as once they panic, they
will continue to do so. Healing allies is an issue that I have to
fix. Wandering Apoths? Hmm maybe a few wizards as well :)

I can't wait until I can play a skaven. At least, I couldn't find a
secret one myself so far.

Umm playing as a Rat Boy is a bit strange, as I forgot to change the
player team. I.e your enemies are the normal allies. This is a bug
that I have not fixed. I was thinking of making it a special feature
though.

The code link seems to be broken. Thought I'd take a look at fixing
the crashes.

Yep, I have not updeated the code so I deleted it. I will hopefully
fix it tonight. Up to v0.7.2. Send any fixes my way. (P.S half the
code is redundant)

Thanks for the game.

Thanks for you kind words, it now has been worth makeing this game. I
am inpired to add more content now. Whats your favourite team?
