Dear George and Neo/Paul,

SEEK HELP.
As you may have noticed in another thread, I just spent several years
of my life with an undiagnosed endocrine disease, and it put me in
purgatory. I thought I was going crazy with depression. I was going
crazy all right, but it was from rare adrenal gland failure. I'll
make a deal with either or both of you: you go visit an
endocrinologist and a psychiatrist, and I'll give you three cheers,
hosanas, and light a candle in church. (Or whatever other
encouragement you want.)

I got lucky with the endocrinologist: the psychiatrist wasn't helping,
and visits to him were painfully frustrating. Then I got cortisone
pills, and the fog lifted in two days. The sunlight is painful, but
it sure beats the alternative.
