OK. There have been several comments here lamenting the establishment

Having two places for discussing Angband dilutes the discussion and 2.
A web forum isn't as good as usenet.

Why you have to present usenet and web forums as an implacable
adversaries?

Recent few months proved, that they go along just fine, and actually
supplement each other nicely. Certain communities, especially around Un
and FA variants, formed on Angband.oook.cz forums, and seems to prosper
just fine.

People, who prefer usenet, all stayed active on this newsgroup. The web
forums haven't harmed the activity on this group at all.

They don't compete.

I see several huge advantages of usenet over web forums, and I actually
have to restrain myself from saying negative things about a 'web forum'
and their users.

Also, do I detect a subtone of envy here? There wasn't a single thread on
the forums about how usenet stinks and that folks should move over.
While it keeps popping up on newsgroup every other month.

How about some people who can't figuring it out posting in a web forum?
They are just guaranteeing if they post anything about steam, I won't
see it. It's not efficient for them or me. Besides, if they can't figure
out usenet, then I probably don't want to take the time to respond to
their questions in person anyway.

Looks like your choice of meeting players is an yahoogroups mailing list.
So why do you care for forums? Or for the newsgroup? You haven't told
your players they should be using either.
