It took many generations to standardize words, gammer, syntax, and

hang on to what standards we have left even if it means spending a
little extra time to ensure correct standards are continually met.
There are a number of very short books on these topics for those who
wonder why a three or five name item is capitalized the way it is.

I agree all the way, but I am not sure what is the conclusion : change
Angband or not ?

Well, in matters on the strictures of usage of the English language,
I'm a staunch conservative. I say "Send them all back to grade
school"!!! That's it!! we'll sponser a remedial Basic English course
for all *Band afficianados.

Seriously, I do think the *banders should bend to accepted English
usage, and if they can't figure it out, then get some-one who can.
There are plenty of unemployed English graduates. I think this is
owed to future generations who, god knows, is going to have a hard
enough time as it is without also being inarticulate and language
poor.

I am somewhat øf an iidealist when it comes to language, but I also
recogniize the difficulties of "changing Angband" (yet I still believe
it should be done - maintainers in general have had to 'bite the
bullet' before, and they have survived quite nicely!
