Early playing feedback...



First off, a big thank you to you and all the other developers who worked on
this. IMO, one of the coolest things about the bands (as opposed to other
games) is how the open source and good community allows people to regularly
improve on the great games we have. Hopefully Leon will return soon-it would
be really neat to think what all of you working together under his
leadership could accomplish. Hurrah! :)

Second, some minor feedback points. I did a run through of the fully tweaked
exe as a Dunadan karate n' bows type, and made it to the second quest, level
6, power 17 before being overwhelmed in a melee slugfest, complete with
poison and acid :). Some points:

1. Show Investing in stores not included

The fix camlost (?) made to display the current level of investment in a
store is not included, or not working. Not sure if you knew that :)

2. Good improve graphics (rubble, statues, boulders)

I really enjoyed the extra color and graphic tweaks in this version. Kudos
on the good work.

3. Spelling error/wierdness in Dun['u]nadan (displayed as that in the high
scores screen)

4. No treasure for Fang/Grip

Not sure if it's a bug, feature, or just luck :).

5. Very...unusual look of town at night (random portions of store buildings'
walls displayed, etc.). Not sure what I think on that...but it might be
interesting.

6. What is meant by "virtual" bonuses in the bows/crossbows,
swords/poles/bashing skills? I couldn't quite figure that out...

7. You might want to update a few skills descriptions (ex. burglarly still
refers to raising perception and other skills, karate makes no mention of a
speed boost, etc.)


Overall, I really enjoyed the changes, and look forward to playing
regularly.
