Re: Suggestions for my paladin (V)

So, the easiest way is to make a macro.

Inscribe ('{') your ammunition '@f1'. This means that whenever you press 'f1' you will fire that ammo (actually, you will fire the first ammo in your inventory inscribed '@f1').

So, then go to the macro menu '@', press '4) create a macro', and then type 'f1*t'. This will automatically fire at the closest monster.

If you want to fire at the most recent target, make your macro 'f1t'. Also, note that pressing 'n' repeats the most recent command you gave. Pressing 'n' will use the same target as the last command did.

take the base damage of the weapon (2d6 = 7). If you are attacking an
orc, troll, or giant, triple this (21). If you are attacking something
evil, double it (14).

Add in all your applicable bonuses to damage (check out this line)

> Cur Exp 146834 Fight (+13,+31)

and then add the weapons damage bonus (19)

That gives a total of 57 (all), 64 (evil), or 71 (orcs/trolls/giants)
Now, this is per blow. Since you get 3 blows, and assuming you hit each
time, you could do up to triple this against a foe.

Very good to know. In my example, it looks like I would do more damage
with the Long Sword most of the time (assuming I hit enough). I'll
assume that the +3 con is worth more than a slight increase in damage
especially since my crossbow does more than either of them.

However, melee should not be your priority -- this does a ton of damage.
Instead of using the rings of damage, consider rings of con. That
will make your life a lot easier.

I've been using bolts for most of the harder monsters like uniques,
vampires, etc. I just find it incredibly annoying to have to do 'f',
'<ammo slot>', '*', possibly move cursor, 't' every time I shoot a
bolt. Is there a way to repeat last fire action with same target/ammo?
