Hello All:
I have acquired a Stern Lightning. The power rectifier board was
reworked several times and so I had decided to purchase a new one form
Great plains. The board came in and installation was a piece of cake.
I then proceeded to replace the J connectors, when I noticed that A2J1
which goes to the playfield was smaller than the one connector I got
from GPE. It also had a white wire taped to the side of the connector..
Quickly I ran to the Schematics. Lightning has a flaw in their
schematics in that there is not that much to them and the playfield
one is for a freefall game. Lucky my manual also came with an
additional playfield schematic. The schematic had no name, but I was
able to determine that it was the correct one for Lightning. Using
what I had I came up with the following wiring layout. I am currently
not sure where 2 wires go and want some verification on all the wires
in the connector before I fire it up. Any help would be great.

A2J1 I have
deduced from Schematics The following is on connector
Schematic says
1 = Gen ill bus playfield 1 =
Red 1=Red
2= Gen Ill Ret
2=? 2=empty
3= Spare
3=Empty 3=Blue
4= Key
4=key 4=key
5= Gen Il Bus
5=? 5=empty
6= Sol Bus playfield 6=Blue/
White 6=Blue/White
7= Feature lamp bus
7=? 7=Blue
8= Gen Il Bus
8=White 8=wasnt there but white wire was taped here.
From my meteor.... My rectifier is still a mess but this should
help. I have just repin / new header on the bottom larger connector
so far.

Thanks but your Meteor only has 4 wires on J1. I have 5 wires and they
do not match yours. Sorry. Your post does make me wonder if my Stern
Big Game would have a similar wire scheme. I will have to check.
