Folks, its been 4 months with Iron man - and the game is still
amazing.
Anyway, the center post is the only issue i have - the head of the
center post. When down, the white nylon protrudes slightly above the
playfield causing my balls to get stuck (thats what she said).
The post has a coil (of course) and screw to adjust the hieght of that
head - I figured i just use that screw to lower the nylon head below
the playfield so the ball clears it. No issues.
But every 75 - 100 games or so the post ends up clearing the PF again
meaning i need to unglass, deal with the sucky plastic posts to hold
the PF up (man those things are flimsy) and adjust the screw agan.
Anyone else have this issue?
Hi,
Actually, I've experienced almost the opposite issue. On two route
IMs, and my on personal one, too, I have seen the ball plunged, hit
the post, rebound to the center divider of the roll-overs and then
back to the now lowered post to ever-so-gently come to a rest on top
of the recessed post. On my machine I adjusted the post so that the
top of it is as absolutely flush as possible. Once adjusted, I've
noticed no other up-post related problems.
I still love my IM, although I have considered setting my outlane
posts to the easiest position (right now they are in the middle)
because the ball times can be brutally short. Just curious, where have
you set your outlane posts?
