Nothing lost, I now know and won't be going back.

Yes, only some of the machines were not level. I did not play them
more than once (i.e Skateball). But yes that is the exact response
I
got from Paul, "the floor is crooked and they did not attempt to
level
the machines after moving them". And yes, regardless of what the
issue
was with the power, the organizer should have seen to it that
credits
were refunded. Instead they did nothing and I left annoyed. 5+
times
the games reset on me. I told Paul we had a 4 player game going
and
after several minutes of waiting by the Spider-man machine we were
playing on I just walked away and chalked it up to bad business.
Oh
but wait, all the money goes to the prize pool so this isn't
business... lame!

I'm looking forward to Rick's. Can't wait.

Don't feel bad max. All you had to deal with was bad machines.
The
bartender lost my credit card.

I was by the bar during that. Sorry your card was lost, but I confess
I
enjoyed watching the search. ;^)

BTW, the coin drops were not part of the prize pool; only the entry
fees. I probably lost about $5 due to game resets during the
tourneys,
none refunded. That was kind of lame. Although it adds an extra edge
when you're worried about a reset every time the lights flicker
during
competition!

That seems like it would be a large issue that might have been dealt
with better. System 11 games are usually good about NOT resetting,
they
usually don't until the voltage gets really low - the solenoids become

anemic, but the game stays up.

Was it just low voltage from a lot of games coming in or some other
issue like crap power from the power co?

Not sure, but the streetlights out back were also dimming a bit. There
were still reset problems later on Saturday when most of the lights and
games were turned off, so maybe it was from the outside power company?
The Bally Strikes & Spares seemed immune to resets.

They have not had the reset problem in the past with similar numbers of
games. Streetlights were also flickering so I would guess it was a
power company problem. There are a few places at john's place and at
volleyball house where the floors are badly uneven. The problem is if
you level it on one spot and someone shifts the machine (which happens a
lot with players nudging and sliding the games) you are now out of level
again. Not saying it is right, just trying to give some insight as to
the futility of leveling machines in certain locations. I'm sorry some
people were unhappy, I had a blast scorekeeping.
