While on the subject of contacts, I have a question.
The contacts I'm using are the ones from PBR, tungsten and about 1/8"
diameter pad. Like you see on EOS switches normally.
On the few switches I've made, the two pads press together fairly
square; that is, the whole surface of one contact meets the full
surface of the other.
However, on something like a stack of three switches, where the top
one is farthest from the actuator lever, and pushed up by a nylon
lifter, it is difficult to get that "full contact".
Here's a pic of the stack:

Basically, on that top switch, just one edge of the bottom pad reaches
up and touches the top pad.

That sketch is exaggerated a bit, but it illustrates what I'm talking
about.
Is this a cardinal sin of switch-making, or can I leave it that way?
I tried many times to adjust it so that it hit more squarely but it
tends to end up with a gap that is too close. So close that just the
vibrations from the mechanism can set it off.
