Ok, aside from the fact that Call of Duty has tons more features,
depth, interactivity, portability, etc., let's do the economics on CoD
verses Pinball:
Let's say Call of Duty costs $40, probably more, but we'll say $40,
and let's say it offers 40 hours of play (in reality it's probably
much more than that).
Compare that to pinball: Let's say .50 for a 3 minute game - again a
conservative estimate. To get 40 hours worth of play time on pinball,
you'd have to spend $400.
Call of Duty costs roughly $0.02 a minute to play. Pinball is $0.17.
Yup, good point. That's an ROI pinball can't compete with. However,
don't forget to factor in the cost of the game platform, controllers,
monitor, junkfood, and numerous failed relationships. :)
