I just brought home an HUO C37 with 4677 plays on it!

It is serial#5512. What number did the 1600 production run start on?

It has some scratches on the cabinet sides (a gouge on one side) but
is otherwise almost like new!  It doesn't even need new leg levelers!

It has the envelope with manual, 2 game schematics, coin door
schematic, Gottlieb white lube, 11 score level cards, extra
instruction card, notice about playfield cleaning, notice that says
that any damage is the fault of the shipper, Gottlieb return postcard
- the works.

The coin plate doesn't have plastic coin slots. It has metal plates
covering up the holes.

I don't think there is any wear from ball drop out of the kick-out
hole. If I replace the ball every few years and wax every 2 months,
will it always be OK there?  Or should I put down a little mylar (or
Pinball Pal) patch as a preventative?

I also don't think there is any wear around the pops. But I'll know
for sure when I get into it.
I suppose I'll put down adhesive mylar (or the Pinball Pal stuff) like
I always do but I'm almost reluctant to stick anything on such a nice
playfield.

Some of you seal a good backglass as a preventative. I don't plan to.

What a great looking game.I'll bet it plays like new.My Jacks Open is
a HUO and I didn't stick anything on the PF I just keep it clean and
lots of wax. Also the back glass in my Nip It is mint and It's one that
I won't seal either.- Hide quoted text -

But JO doesn't have a kick out hole.
Ron (boatcat) says use mylar by the kick-out hole.
Anyone else agree?
Is a kick-out hole wear spot inevitable?
Or can it be prevented with regular waxing?
Is mylar best or Pinball Pal sheets? (whatever they are made of)

What's in Gottlieb White Lube? Should I use that on the steppers or
keep using Super Lube PTFE?
Just curious about that - probably doesn't matter much.

I'll tell the story soon. The story isn't that exciting - but the find
is!

Yes,you might want to put some by a kick out hole.I did some touch ups
on my Spin a Card before I clear coated it and it has 2 kick outs but
I've yet to put down any mylar yet.
