OK :)
I actually have two thing on my P2K motherboard to help with that problem
One is a CPU fan, if that should stop or drop for any reason, an awful alarm sounds inside the cabinet, this is working fine, as if I test it ny stopping the CPU with my finger (ow!) the alarm sounds!
Also there is an extractor type fan, it plugs into the PCI slot, but it only powers the extractor fan, which blows the hot air out of the motherboard box and into the head.
I rebooted it when I got home, the machine started fine, when I went to "operators menu" it told me check report, but when I checked it, it was "clean - All Ok"
When I exited the menu and went back in, it was reporting all was "Ok"

first thought coming to mind is the cooling fans in the head, power supply, motherboard, etc. Be sure they are all clean and working. It should be okay to have on for long periods, but your game could have a heat build up issue if the fans aren't working. LTG :)

Opto replaced (black and white -just thought it would be safer and more failsafe to replace both) and thats resolved the problem!
Tonight I hit another, which may not be a problem - but just a one off?
Left RFM running in attract mode most the day at home, when I came back to play at 8pm, the whole screen was all pixelated and images corrupt, however tapping a flipper button cleared the screen, however certain parts of the screen were getting corrupted in game play, however when ever things like the cleared the level or scores were displayed or a new clear screen of data, the whole screen was fine.
The right in the middle of the game, it just rebooted, ran all tests in reboot and reported no errors...
I checked the diagnostics screen, no problems all tests fine.
I ran the montitor tests.. all perfect. not one bit of screen corruption.
I checked the Prism card, reseated it, rebooted...
Got a U109 DRC error... - this error could have been caused by my reseating the card as I only powered off the machine by the on/off button on the tin box (not by the table power switch).
(checked all roms , all checked fine, but it doesnt test U109?)
Powered down, rebooted...
checked diagnostics and tests.. all clean!
Any thoughts? or is this a one off? monitor is clean, all video tests are perfect,. no problems on that at all, and in fairness it looked more like a code corruption error at boot, I suppose I could have had a minor power hiccup when I went out for 1hr - luckily the pinball is running on a power surge/spike adaptor
If this happens again ,I will report back.. - machine is being powered down whist I go out for the evening :)
