Hello
I have an f-14 that came with a Grand Lizard system 11 MPU with acid
damage. Currently I have two problems with this board. First is
there is a display problem. The displays have missing segments. The
segments that are missing vary from display test to display test. All
most all segments have the ability to display, but lit segments vary
from the different combination of lit segments at one time. Second, I
have no sound output. The sound board in my f14 (also is not
original, is a millionaire sound board not sure if there is
compatibility problems) seams to work fine, my roms are good, and
speakers work as well. Besides that the game will play. All
solenoids fire correctly etc.... just display problems and no sound.
We have moved parts around between other working system 11 games and
determined it is defiantly a MPU problem.
My father is who has done board work for me in the past does not know
if he can / have time to repair the acid damaged stuff. I also sent
this pic to the coin op cauldron and they did not want to work on this
board either. We have restored the rest of the game and wow this one
has been a project. Random missing parts, coils and brackets, flash
lamp board below the backbox was snapped in half, sloppy hacks, coin
door audit switches missing, tons of stuff torn out with out care. I
suppose that is half the fun of the hobby :). I can tell this game
was used as a parts machine for a Millionaire as well. The board
problems and missing beacon light stuff is the only thing keeping this
game from being ready to be enjoyed.
I would like to have my MPU repaired, trade my damaged one minus some
cash for a working compatible one, or lastly buy a working compatible
MPU board. I believe my subject line is correct about compatibility.
here is a pic where you can see the acid damagehttp://img193.imageshack..us/img193/999/dsc00565q.jpg
The remote battery holder and extra fuses where added to by us after
we got the game and the acid damage had happened.
Contact me at barakandl at gmail dot com or respond here with any
other ideas or thoughts. I think i will be attending york show as
well if that would help shipping.
Thanks

I have a working System 11b MPU that I do not need. It was running in
my Diner. I aquired a 11c board (correct for Diner) so I have decided
to sell the 11b board. It has Jokerz sound roms in it (again, not
used
in Diner so I left them in). Looks like it got hot in that center
area
once upon a time, but it seems to work just fine.
$215 shipped & insured in USA. Pics below.http://www.edslastresort.com/forsale/11b1.jpghttp://www.edslastresort.com/forsale/11b2.jpghttp://www.edslastresort.com/forsale/11b3.jpg

Try Ed Cheung(ed@xxxxxxxxxxxx), I'm taking a few boards over his house
today and I hear he is excellent at Sys 9&11 repairs and I think he
has extra boards for sale as well.
