Correction to the clarification...

Let me make one clarification for the history books.
Some of your em buds helped with this game, but none of us from the
actual Team-EM.
I hope this issue can be worked out for both buyer and seller. Good
Luck.

2. I did not personally restore this game, two of my friends from team
em did, and it was working perfectly up here for 45 days.- Hide quoted text -

The truth is Chris, he will do nothing to fix this problem , but
Iwill.  this guy Doug Moore is a complete idiot & will dealt with
soon. At first, i was going to bring him to court, but that was a
worthless method for me as I would only lose more money in travel
expense. I love the idea that you all are challenging my law
inforcement skills. i was  an officer for 15 years. I know many
Sargents of Law Enforcement in many towns in the USA.  There was a
domestic dispute call  about 4 years ago where a frantic woman called
911 from a cell phone as she complaning about being chased by 4 men. i
was the closest to that area and showed up first . I Will not tell you
the detail of the rest of the story, but i will tell you that i
serverely beat the perpatraitor in which, later i was asked to leave
the department. At the same time i was praised as a hero to my
community. Then came HURRICANE KATRINA soon after. Hi DOUG, update my
friend who works with Nashville PD wanted to know more about that
illegal cannon you have in front of your store. We are trying to set
up a meeting with the bucksnort police about it and your other emails
which you did not mention here. Also please bring your friend jammer
74 along with you. We will have a nice lunch together at the
Bucksnort county Jail. You forward to seeing you again. Best Regaurds,
Sheriff

Ya know making a post like that, I'm not exactly
sure i would want to help you either. I'm not defending
Doug, but YOU picked up the machine and paid for
it and hauled it away. Anything that Doug does to help
is over and above because you didn't have DUE DILIGENCE
and inspect the goods when you picked it up. I'm sure
your expectations and Doug's were different. That's
nobody's fault really. But now is NOT the time to work
that out. It should have been done right then and there.
The horse is out of the barn, you can't close the door
and hope all will be well.

It seems you're both in denial about the problems.
I suggest you all just call it a day and get on with
life. Mistakes have been made, and hopefully you
both will make adjustments to correct these issues
in future transactions.

But one thing I do know for sure, threatening Doug isn't
going to help things. But hey you're a professional,
so there's no need for me to tell you that. And any
court of law isn't going to rule in your favor. Again,
it was a face-to-face transaction, so really all you're
doing is venting here, being in denial that it isn't at
least partially YOUR FAULT. Again hopefully you both will
do things differently in the future to avoid these things.- Hide quoted text -

Its really a simple mehtod of protecting the community. Scam artists,
Thieves, and people who falsely represent things should be held
accounted for. This guy is no good. Iam starting to think  that
everyone here that tries to depend doug in this matter must be in
favor of obamas health plan. WAKE UP PEOPLE!  This is a scam artist..
HE NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON, He is going to realize that Iam for
real. DEFEND THE RIGHTS OF AMERICAN CITIZENS IN THIS COUNTRY, instead
of being a pig headed believer in friendships over the internet. GET
YOUR ASS OUT in your community and make a postive  difference instead
of trying to screw others.

I'm not defending Doug, but now you're just sounding
crazy. Again, if YOU had due diligence and checked
out the machine before you took it, this wouldn't be
a problem!  You failed at the basic premise of, "Buyer
Beware" or "Caveat emptor."  There's a reason that
statement exists.

The one thing that I have noticed is that buyers and
sellers don't always have the same level of expectations.
Sometimes they are not even close!  This was probably
the case here. Doug's expections were low, yours very
high. But if you both went through the machine at time
of sale, you could have worked this all out right then.

Again you're just in denial of the situation. You failed
on the basic Caveat emptor thinking.  Sure Doug
didn't help at all, he should have had the machine
set up and ready for inspection. But you could have
spent the whole 5 minutes to put it back on a pin
cart and plug it in, or at least lift the playfield.

cfh
(whom has NO health care right now because insurance
companies don't want to insure those with "pre-existing
conditions" at any sort of reasonable rate. People made
the same ridiculous arguments about Medicare in the
early 1960s that we are hearing today about healthcare
for everyone. Yet Medicare is considered "successful"
and a godsend to those whom it covers. Obviously people
have a hard time learning or researching history, and are
just paranoid and scared of anything new.  As a test of
this, try calling around and get some quotes for insurance
on yourself, even if you currently have health insurance.
After talking to a couple insurance companies, you'll
understand EXACTLY what the problem is. Or try getting
insurance for your 65 year old Dad, and realize if he
didn't have Medicare {a government run program} or job
based health care, he would be SCREWED.)- Hide quoted text -

It takes brains and maturity to know good advice when you hear it.
Maybe the sheriff doesn't get it but I appreciate the lesson here.
Thanks.
This health care debate is similar to the car seatbelt debate
back in the sixties. The car companies put out all kinds of
misinformation to mislead the public concerning automobile safety. All
for the sake of profits. And there are still some fools out there who
still think wearing a safety belt jepordizes their safety. MattyB.

The seat beat analogy is an interesting one.
When I was 18 years old I bought a 1965 VW
Bug for $50 with a manual sunroof. I spent the
whole summer fixing it up, making it look good.
(it was truly a heap.) I can't believe my parents
even let me buy it, given VW's reputation and
Ralph Nader's grilling of that vehicle!

Anyway, on the first day of my senior year of
high school, at a study hall (remember when you
could leave the building during study hall?), me
and two friends drove to a donut shop. I didn't
even get a donut, but it was an excuse to drive
the car, which I had proudly "restored." (I use
that term loosely.)

The one thing I had not fixed on the Bug was
the front end. The knuckle joints had a ton of
play in them, and there was probably 4" of
sloop in the steering. At 50 MPH i caught
the front wheel on the edge of the road and jerked
the steeromg wheel to get off the edge. This sent
the car flying across the road, rolling it three times.

In 1965 there were NO seatbelts in VW bugs!
And i had foolishly not installed any. Basically
I got thrown from the car THROUGH THE SUNROOF,
breaking my neck. My friends fared better, but
were also hurt.

If I had seatbelts in that car, obviously this
would have not happened. Anyway just thought
I would share that story.

(Later we removed the body from the Bug and
turned it into a dirt car. But not before parking the
crushed car inside the high school cafateria one
night. But that's another story...)
