Bob,
You've identified the problem.
If AX is energized and the score motor isn't running, then then either
the switch on AX that is supposed to turn the motor on is not making
or a wire is broken or a wire has broken free of a solder tab.
IIRC, the switch in question will have red-white on one side and yellow
+red on the other side.
Humor me.
Get your DMM.
Pull the "motor service plug" from it's jack. This is probably a blue
plastic insulated wire.
Now, test continuity across the solder tabs of the switch on AX
identified above. Got tone?
If not, then even though the contacts may appear closed on AX, they
are not conducting. File and adjust. Retest.
If you have tone, then put one lead of your DMM on the yellow+red wire
tab on AX and the other on the motor service jack that wire leads to.
Got tone? If not, you have a broken wire.
I really think that the switch on AX isn't making.
Please test. Report results. We'll get 'er goin'....
