It's an 8-pin plug, keyed @ pin 3, sandwiched between plugs J23 & J25.

I can't find in the manual where you reference the color order ON THE DRIVER
BOARD PLUG itself. The wiring order from the IC chip is not the exact same.

Very appreciated--I pulled the pin tonight and too many of these fragile
wires popped out to remember where they go back. One downside to Capcom
games are the gauge of these wires...

Also, where do you get these blank plugs--and/or what are they called? I
guess the usual shops would have them: Mouser, etc.

Wire colors for J24 are as follows....all are red and another color so
I'm just listing the color with the red.

Pin 1 Blank
Pin 2 Blank
Pin 3 Blank/key
Pin 4 ORANGE
Pin 5 YELLOW
Pin 6 GREEN
Pin 7 LIGHT BLU
Pin 8 PURPLE
Pin 9 GRAY

Hope that helps!! About the blank plugs. I assume you are talking
about the plug itself and not the plug/key that goes in pin 3 which is
blank. They are .100 pin size plugs and you can get some from
Marcospecialties if I recall correctly. Mouser would probably have
them also, but don't forget to get the crimps for inside the plug too.
If I were you, I'd try re using the original if possible and just
cutting the wire back to get to fresh wire and re-insert them in the
plug.
