I have a question when I take my digital meter and connect any of the
wires going to the service switches (unsoidered of course) they are
shorted together. How can this be? The only way I can get them to
stop is when I unplug the CN13 plug on the cpu board.
Any ideas about what might be causing this. Right now game just has
"ADJUSTS RESET" message. Can't get past it.
Thanks for your help,
Brad
You should be able to get past that message if you open the coin door
and press the start button or the credit button.
That message usually means you have no batteries or they need to be
replaced.
Could be the battery holder or loose batteries as well. I would start
there and then the test button issue may resolve itself.
When I said a connector may be backwards I thought that might be the
one. Check them all the way the wires are facing should be a clue. If
you see one facing the other way that's when you know one is backwards
if not then that's not the issue. Sorry I wasn't trying to steer you
wrong but I did have that issue on mine and when I found the backwards
connector and turned it around it worked. I was thinking this might be
the same as it sounded like what mine was doing.
