Its the same story here Tom, prices are down....way down and thats why I
said what I said. And check this out, the last Firepower I owned was in May
2001 and after putting $385 into the game I sold it for $500 at that time..
So its gotta be worse now I would suspect.

Personally I think I would struggle to get $550-$600 out of it after all
the
work that would be put into it and depending on its condition.

I think what your all forgetting is that this game is in the local
newspaper. Which means it wont be shopped and it wont be working all the
way and who knows what else might be wrong with it....... IF it were
working all the way and it was something that I wanted in my permanent
collection then to me $500 would be generous since trying to get any
more
then that out of a shopped one in decent shape would be a struggle. Its
just my opinion since I've bought alot of games from local people for
way
less and there's alot of Firepowers out there.

Hello. I saw a Firepower in my local newspaper. Owner says the game is
in decent shape. He said no cracked plastics, the game is in working
order, the cabinet art and backglass were an 8 out of 10, and the
playfield has very little wear.
Thanks in advance.
I paid 300$ for a nice firepower with almost no wear on playfield,
near mint plastics, and nice cab, but a 7/10 backglass. It had no
boards in it, and I think I overpaid by atleast 75$. Since its working
and the backglass is nice ide say about 600-750$ range.
Yes John, I see what you're saying, but I think we all would agree
that you would clean it, wax it, adjust a couple switches, and sell it
for oh somewhere around ummmm... $750
And it would still be a pretty good deal...
Tom
Yeah you know what john, you are probably right. For one thing you
have a lot more experience with buying and selling than I do, but
putting that aside, It is just really hard to get a decent price the
way the market is now. I'm kind of stuck on the way prices were two or
three years ago. It seemed like if you were asking a fair to even
somewhat high price, a game would sell within a week and ussually
close to the asking price. But now, I see a lot of games that sound
like pretty good deals just sit there, week after week not selling,
and then when they finally do sell it's 2 or 3 hundred less than the
initial price...
How is the market going by you, are machines getting any decent prices
up that way?
Tom
Here is one that just needs a "tune up".
http://detroit.craigslist.org/tag/1266481312.html
opular Williams “Firepower” pinball machine – used, in fair to good
condition, excellent backboard, playfield slightly worn, works
intermittently, needs a “tune-up.” It was decided not repair it prior
to sale as adjustment or connection problems may occur during transit.
Price is considerably than the value of the pinball machine to
accommodate repair costs.
There is an excellent pinball repairman in the area who is an expert
on Williams machines, should you wish a referral.
Includes manual
Pick up only, from Detroit Northern suburbs.
