Re: stern signs with costco

Well if this happens then I sure hope they put some in the stores for
people to see, that way I would at least be able to see what the new
machines look like. If they don't put them in the stores, then the
point about distributors would be kind of mute (no offense to all the
distributors) because people still would have no idea about the
machines. Most of the people I know don’t even know that they still
make pinball machines let alone where a distributor is to buy one. I
think the Costco move would pick up customers because it would give
pinball more exposure, plus pick up some sales from people not exposed
to the hobby like the rest of us. I can’t even find a pinball on
location near me to play so obviously who ever sells games in my area
doesn’t buy, or place on location pinball’s anyway. I wanted to see
and play the new Indy pin when it came out, and wanted to consider it
as being my first NIB Stern but no luck (only machine I can find to
play is SM at the bowling alley in Annapolis MD, and that is an hour’s
drive from my house). I would still consider buying from a distributor
over Costco especially if they treated their customers with good
service and appreciate the hobby like Lloyd does (I don’t know Lloyd
personally but everyone here says he is a great guy, and I am a big
supporter of buying from the local guys who put the effort out so you
can see the products themselves pinball or otherwise) plus you could
hopefully see some of the off route machines they may have for sale,
unfortunately there is no Lloyd for me to buy from or even go to
around here. Ok sorry about being long winded, if someone sees a
machine in an actual Costco store then please let us all know.
