Hi,
I got the message opto trough bad check connectors, wires, or 12v
supply... on my Safe Cracker.
1 of the trough opto's in the switch test registers, the other 4
don't. I checked the transmitters (digital camera) and they all work.
Any chance the receivers are out? All other switches and opto's
(except top left lane, but this is another problem I guess) work.
In the switch test, the 4 first opto's are not boxed (only the one
that registers)
I have 12V at the opto board. At first sight there is no damage to the
cable's. I reseated the connectors.
Does anybody have an idea what I can verify next?
And 1 more question. I noticed 3 (female) connectors under the
playfield are just haning loose, but apparently there is no (male)
connector to be connected to. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance!
There is the 10-opto switch board which powers and sends the opto
signals back to the cpu. If four went out at one time, I might
suspect
one of the LM339's going bad on that board. The optos will all read
fine, but the switch board is probably where your fault is.
Hope that helps!

You can also try to check the receivers by shining with a flash light,
if all 4 don't read a thing, it's probably a fault on the opto PCB
like Tony mentioned above!
