There is no reason to think that the voltage will go down when
disconnected.  Either you are making the measurement incorrectly, or
the transformer is bad.

Hello,
I  have a voltage problem at the input of the flipper board. I need
someone to measure the voltage on the pins of that connector with it
unplugged from the board. I'm getting 26VAC with & without it
connected, it should be 48VAC when connected I know. If you get 48VAC
with it disconnected, then I have a bad transformer #2. Transformer 2
powers only that connector. Thanks!

Voltage might drop with it connected if the BR is bad. Disconnected a
good transformer should read approx 48V AC. Connected a good
transformer and good BR with no other faults should read approx 48V AC
and approx 48 VDC on the other side of the BR.

Transformers rarely go bad. Make sure you are checking the right pins
on the connector (black w/ yellow I think) and make sure your DMM is
on the AC setting, V with a "~" over it.

BTW 26VAC is the rest of the coil voltages from the transformer (and
is red w/white) and feeds to bridges in the backbox.
