The crystal should work

There are diagrams in the manual that show the location of components and the appropriate part #s. I'd strongly recommend ordering a manual from Pinball Resource. It will be valuable in troubleshooting.

What capacitor did you change on the driver board?

IC17 and IC18 are 7406s
C48 is .01 MFD +80 - 20% 50W according to a manual I have nearby.
R32 is 560 Ohm 10% 1/4 watt
Or do you want R92, the resistor above IC18? That one is 4.7K ohm 10% 1/4 watt

Don't forget to replace the large red resistors per Clay's guide.

GPE or Big Daddy both should have these parts.

Last week I bought a Disco Fever that lit up but wouldn't start a
game. I decided I was going to use this to learn about system 3.
Before I even put it back together I decided to shotgun what I new was
bad. On the cpu board I have changed the male 40 pin male
interconnectors, changed all the sockets, replaced the capacitor and
here is where I get to my 1st question.

The crystal is really burned, it says 3579.545 on it. I got what I
thought was a replacement for it but it is about 80% smaller. It says
3.579545 on it. Big Daddy's website says it will work. Does anyone
know if that is true?

On the driver board I have changed the 40 pin female interconnectors
and changed the capacitor. My next question is regarding burned
components on this board. I have been able to identify that I have
problems at ic18, ic17,c48 and I believe it is r32? I can not tell
what these components were to get replacements. The schematics have
been no help to me. Can anyone tell me how to find out what these are?
Is there a parts list anywhere?

I am attaching a link to the picture of the board parts are circled in
blue.
