Yet Another AFM Restoration (Yaar)

When I bought my AFM it had the Red LED UFO kit installed, but I ended
up modifying mine. It now has 3 Red Flasher Domes on the saucers with
Red LEDs (original), and 3 Green Flasher Dome saucers with Green LEDs
(which I installed). The Mothership has been left alone, except for
putting a Green LED Flasher inside which I think looks good.

I added some of Cliffy's green plastic color sleeves, and the scoop
and ball eject protectors too. Thanks, Cliffy.
The orginal playfield was in excellent shape, and adding the
protectors will help keep it that way.

I put a couple of coloured Flashers here and there behind the backbox,
and also 2 Green Flashers at positions #20 and #28 which are called
"Right side low" and "Left side low". I changed them to 906's so I
could have more of the same bulbs in the game. (Ideas came from John
Blakeley, UK). Great Strobe Multiball effect.

I also did some custom target decals in Vinyl on a small (A4) Craft
Robo. If you haven't heard of these, they can cut out Vinyl and
stickers. Think of it as plotter that has tiny cutting blades instead
of a pen (you can even buy a pen attachment to draw with). This was
tricky to put together, but the result is good.

Now I know someone will moan about my AFM not being original, I felt
that way at first and had kept it factory for quite some time before
deciding what to change. But I believe everything done is reversible
and in keeping with the style of the game.

Finally, I bought a 3 part cabinet decal set and will get around to
doing that to finish the project off. The side panels are OK, but the
topbox and coin door could be done oneday.

Here's a web site I put together if you want a look. I also published
what I did if in case anyone wants to look up the wiring for the LEDs
in the small saucers. I couldn't find it on the web when I was
looking.
