Hi everyone.  I've been reading this group for a while now, and
figured I'd finally introduce myself.

My name is Jason, and I really got hooked on pinball while in college
in the early/mid '90's.  Most of my playing experience is on DMD
machines, with a few exceptions (FH and BoP come to mind).  I've never
played an EM before.

While home theater is my main hobby, I always felt the perfect
complement to my basement theater would be a pin (I've even set aside
an area that would be perfect!).  I love the thought of having my own
machine, learning to tinker with it, and eventually learning enough to
rebuild and do minor restorations.  While I am a pretty handy guy and
enjoy detail-oriented projects, I have never even lifted up a
playfield and seen what's REALLY under there - so I realize that I
have a LOT to learn (but that's the part that has me really excited).

I'm hopeful that I'll finally get my pin sometime this year (it would
be sooner, if not for 8 month old twin boys).  Most frustrating,
though, is that it's getting harder and harder to find a place to
play.  I live just north of Baltimore, MD - and pins are hard to
find.  There was an arcade in Cockeysville (Game Time) that was around
for only a short while before they were gone, and there's a bar near
my work (in Towson) that has a LoTR and that seems to be about it.
Would any of you know of some other spots that have some machines in
decent shape?

Anyway, just wanted to say hi so that when I finally do get around to
that "WTB" post, you'll know who I am.  Thanks!

Hi Jason. Welcome to the group. Always glad to see someone else from
Md. The only place I know of around your area is a Duckpin Bowling
alley on York Rd that has a Spiderman. In Glen Burnie their is
Crabtown USA that has a bunch of machines from the 80's (15-20 or so &
vids too). They aren't in the best shape, but they seemed to play ok.

I'm in Bowie btw. If you ever want to play an EM I have a '63 Merry
Widow.

Chas
