I am looking for a person that may be able to repair a 1975 Bally
Wizard.
I was given the machine for the price of ZERO DOLLARS! "just come get
it out of our basement".... so I did.
The basement was damp but not wet.
The cabinet is in good shape.
The insides are a mess ( but I don't know that much about them).
There is some oxidation and some minor corrosion.
I cant get most of the lights to come on and some of the triggers to
trip when I play with various contacts.
I live in Wausau Wi and am willing to drive the machine to a tech and
leave it for him or her to get at when they can.
However I cant seem to find ANYONE in this area that will work on it,
all i have found is dead end phone numbers and names that lead me to
nothing.
Anyone with a name or number of a person ANYWHERE in Wisconsin that
can repair this machine, please contact me via this newsgroup or by
email @ sa6m...@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you for your time in reading this.
Best regards

Sorry about the double post, I'm new to the news group thing.
As far as cutting grounds and tracing thing back to find a problem, I
have NO schematic reading skills.
All Ive been able to do so far it tinker with different switches and
and make bumpers trigger and get the lights to come on.
I really have no clue what I am doing.
I know how to solder.
I can build a computer and get it running like a raped ape, but I CANT
UNDERSTAND A FRIGGING EM PINBALL MACHINE>>>>>>>
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRGGGG!
Sorry once again, signs of frustration.
With that said I don't want to give up on this machine.
Best regards

Mike,
Any game can be fixed. For many of us, that's the real fun. However,
if playing is what you really want to do, perhaps you could entertain
a trade for a working game with someone. Wizard! is a fairly desirable
title. You might get a good player out of the deal. Or sell it and
buy one a bit closer to the condition you're after.
