Re: Any interest on collaborating on a new board specifically for developing custom software?

Progress.. I spent some time and have a board layout started. It is
designed to plug in in place of the processor on a sys 3/4/6/7 board,
just to get the project off of the ground. Later, I can easily take
the core parts and build up a processor module or series specific
board if we want to replace the whole board... when there is some code
to share.
The board has a PIC24 part on it, with 256K of flash. It has basic
logic and level conversion and a regulator to make it plug right into
the old socket. It will rest on the PIA 2" away. It will have a USB
port (to allow flash sticks or maybe a PC link), as well as an ICE
port. My thought is that folks can either just do flash stick
development, or get a cheap PICKIT 2 unit, and free MPLAB, and the
student version of PICC30 C compiler.
When I get the routing done, and order some boards, I will report
back.
Chris~
